Family Orchestra

The two-part sculpture Family Orchestra connects different floor levels with an emotionally charged story involving the relationship between a small, childlike elephant and its mother. Formally derived from brass instruments, and drawing on the sounds of elephants in the wild, the two form a kind of orchestra that creates a poetic connection between above and below, emphasizing the power of belonging and community even across spatial distance.
