Indoor Swimming Pool, Sundsvall SE 2019

On the roof of the newly built indoor swimming pool stands the “Springer” – an anthropomorphic sculpture composed of floats – visible from afar. The dramatic positioning is juxtaposed by the materiality of the sculpture – it seems well prepared for a possible leap into the floods. In the context of a swimming pool on the banks of the river, an absurd image emerges with open possibilities for interpretation.
