Snowwomen

Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital, Seoul CA 2019

The two-part sculpture connects various structural areas of the university hospital with a simple but emotionally charged story about the visual relationship between a small, childlike and an “adult” snowman. While the smaller sculpture is positioned on the stairs in the basement at the entrance to the subway, the large sculpture stands at street level and bends over the railing down to the smaller one. Both figures assure each other’s attention and care  – a scenario that gains an additional meaning in the context of the hospital.
